Updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Jul 2, 2018 | Business

If you’re like me, you probably have gotten a flurry of emails from various software and online service providers about how they’ve changed their privacy policies and terms of service to be more compliant with the GDPR (Europe’s new General Data Protection Regulation).

Did you read any of them? Not me…

The sad thing is that every one of the companies that has good intentions on how to treat your security and privacy was probably already behaving well. Us included.

We know you trust us with your critical business data

As the president of Moraware, I want to confirm that we’re NOT in the business of selling your personal or company information. In fact, we’ve always tried to err on the side of more privacy and secrecy whenever possible.

Our basic policy is that “nobody else will ever even know you’re our customer unless you give us permission to tell them“. Even though having great customer testimonials and stories is really important to our marketing, that’s probably the only place we ever reveal anything about you… and only if you’re happy enough with Moraware to tell the world.

As you can imagine, we might look at your data if you ask us for help. Or, when we’re trying to figure out a bug or test a new feature. But we keep it close to the vest. Even within our company, we keep striving to reduce how much we need have an eye on any individual database.

Being more clear doesn’t hurt

The whole hubbub around the GDPR was a good incentive for us to take a look at our privacy policy and terms. At best, they were hard to read and filled with lawyerly gobbledygook. And, as we looked through them, we found a couple of places where they were outdated or kinda wrong.

So, if you’re ever up late at night and have trouble sleeping, I’d love for you to take a look at our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Enjoy!
