Since we started Moraware, we’ve been updating our customer’s credit cards pretty manually. That wasn’t a problem when we had a couple hundred customers – every month, a few cards would expire or be declined and we’d take a new card over the phone, and occasionally via fax.
But, sometime last year, we noticed that it was a real pain. We’d send an email to let you know that your card expired. Then, we’d play phone tag for a few days, and finally get the updated card info.
Huge waste of your time & ours. We love talking to our customers, but we really prefer to have the conversations that are valuable – like “What’s the best way to set up my price list?“, or “How can I configure this form so I can track sq. ft?”
In a software company, one of the hardest problems is figuring out the most useful thing we can do – for our customers, employees, and company. We get a constant stream of feature requests, but nobody has ever asked for us to build a way to update their own credit card.
But, up until today, we were spending hours per week just playing phone tag to get credit cards, and since hundreds of countertop fabricators are going to become new customers every year (knock on wood), we were on a course to spend even more time on it.
So, you can now update your own credit cards, make payments, and view all of your invoices.
It’s all under the Admin menu, if you click on Billing.

It’s taken us a while to get here, we’ve been making lots of changes to beef up our security, reliability, and infrastructure in general… we take the security part extremely seriously. And, we really hope that by automating this, we can spend more time with you on the stuff that really matters – how to get the most out of our software to make your countertop business run more smoothly and profitably!
