Inventory is a big deal for countertop fabricators. Based on what I’ve seen and heard from our customers, between 1/3 and 1/2 of your direct costs are tied to your granite slab inventory.
So, it’s not surprising that we get asked to help with that part of the business. And, in fact, we have JobTracker Inventory Edition just for that purpose.
But, our software isn’t right for everyone. Specifically, if you’re just starting out or if you have an inventory of less than a hundred granite slabs – you don’t have an inventory problem that’s big enough for our software, yet.

Part of the toolkit is a spreadsheet. After seeing hundreds of spreadsheets like this, we’ve tried to take the simplest and best practices and put them in one place. But even more than that, among our customers we have centuries of advice about how to manage your inventory. So, we’re trying to write it all down and share with the world (at least the world of countertop shops).
