Moraware News
If you read about Harry’s experience buying a countertop, you probably remember his… er… chagrin at the poor customer service he received at a few of the showrooms he visited. Let’s just say he was underwhelmed. But we don’t want to simply complain. We want to see people succeed. So Kathleen is writing a series of blog posts to share tips for teaching, measuring and rewarding great customer service. Check out her first post on the 10-4 Rule of Customer Service!

JobTracker
Want to learn some tips and tricks in JobTracker? Here are a couple of answers to the most common questions we received last month.
Q: Can we give some of our users the ability to add form fields and create new Jobs – without making them Admin Users?
A: Yes, indeed. In fact, you should be cautious about making everyone an Admin user because with administrative privileges a user can change anything in the system, including other users’ passwords and system settings. Instead, create different Roles for the different types of users in your company, and assign different levels of access to each role.
Q: Can we see who made changes in JobTracker?
A: Yes, Admin users can view a Change Log by user to see the actions made by that user on a specific day or over a specified time period. For more information about the JobTracker Change Log, check out this article and video in JobTracker Help.
Q: We need to add a new User. Can we do it ourselves, or do we need to contact Moraware?
A: Any Admin user can add a new user from the Admin menu in JobTracker. If the additional user will take you beyond the limit of users included in your subscription, you will receive a message explaining the additional fee that will be charged to the credit card on file.
JobTracker () is scheduling software that replaces your whiteboard, file folders, and spreadsheets. To find out more, request a live demo!
CounterGo
Did you know? You can use CounterGo to help your salespeople follow-up with prospects. The solution for this and many other tasks lies in creating custom fields and views. First, create a custom field to track something about each quote, and then create a view that filters your quotes by the status of that new field. Here’s an example.
Let’s say you want your salespeople to stay in contact with every customer who receives a quote, so you want to make it easy to view only the customers who are yet undecided – filtering out all of the quotes that you’ve already won or lost.
You could create a custom list-of-values field called “Action Status” with a drop-down list containing: Follow-up Needed, Won, or Lost. This custom field will display on the Quote Details page for all quotes, so your salespeople can edit this field as they work.
Once staff are using your new Action Status field, you can then filter your list of quotes and save your view. Click the Options button to apply a filter and select fields you want to display.
When you get your view to look the way you like, click the Save View button and give it a name you will remember. Your view will now be listed when you click the Views button.
We have step-by-step instructions for creating fields and views available on our help site. Just choose Moraware CounterGo Help from the Help menu in CounterGo!
If you’re just starting with CounterGo, check out our training , which is a sequence of videos that walks you through a quote from start to finish.

Education
We’ve all heard the advice: leaders need to make time to step away from the day-to-day burden of working in a business so they can spend some time working on the business. Seize the day! Here are a couple great opportunities for you to gather new ideas and information, maybe learn a few things, and to trade ideas with other fabricators.
Stone Industry Education events are organized by StoneWorld and the Marble Institute of America, and each offers a presentation by an industry expert on a particular business topic, as well as a more general Fabricators Forum panel of industry leaders. The next event will be this Thursday, March 26 in Dallas with special presentations by GK Naquin from Stone Interiors. Make sure you say hello to Kathleen if you go! The next event will be held in Chicago on April 30, 2015 and will feature talks by Tony Malisani from Malisani, Inc.
Park Industries will also be hosting anotherDigital Stoneworking Expo in St. Cloud, MN on June 11, 2015. We would love to see you there! Park’s free seminars provide an opportunity to learn from industry-leading stone fabricators who share their experience using digital technology.
And good luck to all our friends who will be presenting at Coverings 2015 in Orlando, April 14-17. If you plan to attend, make sure to check out these Moraware customers who will be speaking:John Lancto, Surface Products, Eric Tryon, Premier Surfaces and Karen Rothenberg, Natural Stone Motif.
